Program:In the Coaching Towards Competencepresentation, Ms. Robin Kessler will review ways for managers to help their employees improve their ability to (1) recognize accomplishments that prove competence in key competency areas critical to the organization’s success, (2) advocate for themselves verbally and in writing, and (3) develop plans to improve the competencies they need to be successful in their current positions and their future career.
Ms. Robin Kessler is the author of Competency-Based Resumes (2004), Competency-Based Interviews (2006), and Competency-Based Performance Reviews (2008). With experience as a human resources and career consultant, adjunct communications professor, and human resources professional (BP and Amoco), Ms. Kessler brings depth and breadth to this area of career management. She has had guest speaking engagements at international, national and local conferences, and has provided training for major organizations including the US Navy, American Express, and MD Anderson. She earned her BA and MBA degrees from Northwestern University.
